Things To Do In Imlil
We start in the morning from Marrakech for a pleasant drive south, following our way up through the Moulay Brahim Gorge and UpperValleys to arrive at the higher foot hills of the Western High Atlas Mountains. Our path leads to Imi Oughlad (1450m) withJbel Toubkal (4167m – the highest peak in North Africa), Aglzim (3650m) and Aksoual (3847m) looming in front of us. Here we will meet the Berber muleteercrew – always a fun part of our treks.
You will set off West up to the col of Tizi Mzik (2489m). From the col, you´ll then traverse towards the head of the Azzadene Valley and the lovely Cascade d'Irhoulidene waterfalls which flow year round. You'll then head down the valley via the village of Tizi Oussem to overnight in a Gite in Ait Aissa.
Our driver meets you at your accommodation in Marrakech at 8h00 and drive to Imlil. 60km. meet your guide,mules and staff. Our walk will start from Imlil around 10h00 and head up to Toubkal refuge. Lunch on the way. 6h walking. Night in the refuge or in the tents.
You will then transfer to a village 5km befopre Imlil town and begin our trek that passes above Tizi Oudide at 2200m . After lunch on the pass, we descend to Azzaden valley which has a spectacular views through the valley and it´s juniper tree forest. Stay in the village of Tizi Oussem.5h of walk.
